Dedication and Forward

These history pages are taken from the book "St. Mary of Perpetual Help - A Centennial History" and is dedicated to each priest, sister, family and individual that has ever come in contact with St. Mary's and those who do so in the future, for the good of the church.

The History contained herein comes from written records, first compiled by Father Anton Wigger and added to by succeeding priests. Also, some later information ahs been obtained by reviewing church bulletins.

There may be errors of omission, but these are not intentional. Sometimes early church records contain conflicting information that is almost impossible to research. Therefore, if you find out one of these items, it is exactly as written by the early church historians.

Special thanks go to Ruth Toben, Carol & Jim Eckelkamp, Carolyn Hanneken, Verna Vondera, Jacqelyn Schmidt, Kim Alles and Norbert Shacklette who have greatly contributed this effort. To each and every person who has donated a picture, related a story or in some way helped in the success of producing this church history.

Thanks to Jenny Meitz who helped to convert the book over to these web pages.
